The companions have been joined in their search for the Scepter by a knight searching for glory, a pompous mage and his dwarven retainer and a cleric who follows a new god. The companions are drawn north into the maw of a nation preparing for war where they must use their stealth, wit and skills to retrieve the scepter and escape the clutches of an ancient enemy that is controlling the playing field.
