No Time Land

In a land called No Time Land, when is it ever time to do anything? Meet the tree with no leaves, the plant that was ugly without any flowers, the man who could not sleep because it wasn't time, and the skinny man who was very hungry because it wasn't time to eat. A whimsical story told to me by my mother when I was a child.
