Journey Through My Mind

This anthology contains pieces I have created throughout my high school creative writing class. My goal for each piece was to write something that was outside of my comfort zone and try to expand my writing capabilities. In “Turn Around,” you will read a bone-chilling story about trying to survive in an asylum where there is no way out. Next, you will find two poems, “Ice Cream” and “Sail Away.” In “Ice Cream,” I connect emotions to a simple cold treat, and in “Sail Away,” I write about one of my biggest fears, getting lost at sea. Lastly, in “The Society,” I write about topics such as government corruption and teamwork. I feel passionate about both of these topics and wish to pursue them throughout my career in life. Overall, the pieces in this book show my dedication to improving my writing craft throughout the school year.
