Fenella Romaine is having a bad day. Her agent no longer wants to represent her, and her career as a bit part actress seems to have ground to a halt. A chance meeting, with an old colleague from a happier time, leads her to new challenges as a Foley Artist, ceating sound effects for films and television. Working behind the scenes, where once she would have enjoyed the limelight,and hidden away in the dark studio's of London's vibrant Soho, she enters a world peopled with unusual characters, and hopes the secret of her broken heart will remain undiscovered. But a familiar face, glimpsed in a crowded street, brings memories of the past, an idyllic summer spent filming in the country, with a boy she thought would never let her down...
