An encrypted letter containing a confession to murder arrives at the office of Vertex News, the largest media conglomerate. A young intern journalist, Esther Nox, deciphers the message and writes an article about it. This instantly earns her the title of the city's most hated and controversial journalist, as she becomes embroiled in a major political conspiracy where nothing is as it seems. This is Esther Nox's first major assignment, through which she transforms from a naive amateur into a fierce shark of journalism.
