Three Years Later...... After relocating to another island, the Scientists and Hybrids still remain as fugitives. Spike who is now eighteen has adapted to the warrior hybrids way of living and has fallen in love with the chief's daughter Maya, whom Spike wants to marry. This celebration is short lived however, when one of the four scientists becomes infected with the Eyidrotheria disease. If the scientists do not return to civilization immediately, one of their own will die. Choices must now be made; will the scientist remain on the island in fear of being captured and possibly executed by Theodore?
