Guild Gatherings

It wasn’t until a loud, insistent knock sounded at the door that reality came crashing back. “Glaen! Faeron!” came the unmistakable voice of Kai, the guild master. “Are you two still asleep? Get up! I need you for a mission!” Faeron gasped, her eyes snapping open. “Kai?!” she whispered, panic evident in her voice. Glaen groaned, burying his face in the crook of her neck. “Ignore him,” he mumbled. But the knocking continued, followed by the sound of the door creaking open. Kai stepped into the room, only to freeze in place when he saw the two of them tangled in the sheets, their faces flushed and their hair a mess. Kai’s face turned as red as a ripe tomato. “Sheesh, I was wondering what was taking so long!” he exclaimed, covering his eyes with one hand. “I didn’t realize you were… *busy.*” Faeron scrambled to pull the blanket up to her chin, her face burning with embarrassment. “Kai! W-we were just—”
