Untold Aspects of History, translated from Russian archival documents by Kamran Amin Ave, presents rare and previously unpublished records from the archives of the Communist Party of Soviet Azerbaijan. The book examines the aftermath of the fall of the Azerbaijan National Government in 1946 and the relocation of the leaders of the Azerbaijan Democratic Party to the Soviet Union. Drawing on confidential reports, correspondence, and organizational records, it reveals efforts by Seyyed Jafar Pishevari and other leaders to rebuild underground networks, reorganize armed groups, and continue political activities against the Pahlavi government. It also uncovers the plans behind the secret organization known as the “Liberationists” (Azadikhahan) and its links with the Tudeh Party of Iran and Kurdish forces led by Mulla Mustafa Barzani.
