Firebane

Mairi, Gretel, Peter and Millie, along with other neighborhood children, are interrupted in their backyard game of Green Witch by the appearance of a stranger from another world. He explains that he's here on a desperate mission to save his people from a race of giants who want to enslave them. The giants are here in this world, in this town, looking for ingredients for a magical weapon. I wrote this story almost fifty years ago, and recently ran across the manuscript. When I decided to publish it, I made the decision to leave my youthful voice mostly untouched.
