The Mound Key Adventure

This swiftly-moving, action-packed adventure tells the tale of John and Nokomis – two friends thrust together by fate, who share a common destiny. Nokomis, a Native American boy from Florida, is seeking to fit into his family’s traditions, and integrate himself into a society he feels doesn’t accept him. John is struggling with his future as well, while trying to understand how to better relate to his father. The boys’ exciting adventure takes them from the lakes and streams of interior Florida, to Mound Key, a little-known island in Estero bay. Along they way, the duo finds themselves discovering ancient relics, pursued by drug trafficers, and trying to dodge a tornado as they uncover the mysteries of their past, their present, and themselves.
