A unique look into one interactive-media student's efforts to create something meaningful for a polytechnic audience, "Entering an Apothecary's Dream: The Making of an Arts & Sciences Installation" is the culminating exhibition book documenting Katherine Crighton's art/experience installation "An Apothecary Dreams: an interactive time capsule inventing science past, present, and beyond."
The installation, only open for three days in October of 2025, was a multisensory, dream-like collage of the past and present as seen through Crighton's practice-led research into reconstructing household apothecary recipes from the Early Modern period. Now, in this publication, Crighton provides a creator-led tour of "An Apothecary Dreams" using art and photographs to illustrate the intimate, behind-the-scenes narrative of Crighton's inspirations, creative processes, observations, and final thoughts for the future.
