The book is the experience of a High Commissioner in London from 2015 to 2020 much as he served until 2021. It covers the most significant aspects of diplomacy in London with a few aspects of Washington DC where he also served as a Deputy Ambassador. These issues range from government to the royal family as well as Brexit and Covid-19. It also touches on important events which undoubtedly define diplomacy such as royal family functions. Other critical areas include racism as well as what is referred to as Britishness. There is an attempt to define Britishness from the perspective of the High Commissioner. The environment in which he operates is also explained be it in his residential area or his office.
