This novel is a contemporary, literary fiction which explores the conflict between sociality and individuality. The book is broken into two narratives, each of which follows a separate character that embodies one side of this duality. The first, Robert, a 31 year old divorcé; an extrovert constantly striving to find himself in other people. The second character, Clare is his polar opposite: an intelligent recluse and socially awkward college graduate, who navel gazes to debilitating extents. Both personalities have naive and deluded perspectives of the world which plagues them throughout their endeavours to find oneness.
