Bicycle Haiku

In 1979 I rode my bike from San Francisco to New Jersey the long way. It was my first trip in the US. I pedalled up to Oregon, down to Texas and back up to Indiana and then across the Appalachians to New Jersey, where my parents lived. It took 3 months. Instead of taking my trusty camera I took a blank notebook and a pen. I did a sketch with a haiku each day of the trip. Many years later I scanned this notebook. This book is a reproduction of that scan.
