IT Coupled 50 DHT Amplifier Project (Advanced)
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
A construction manual for the very advanced hobbyist who would like to construct an IT coupled SE amp based on the 50 direct heated triode. The tube complement is a 6SN7 SRPP driving a 71A DHT which in turn through an interstage transformer drives the 50 output tube. The driver and output stage are operated in fixed bias. Power output depending on transformer and operating point is typically 3.5W. This design is intended primarily for use with high efficiency horn type loudspeakers.
This design was originally created for a customer in the Far East and the amplifier in question was built and sounds excellent according to the builder.
