Montana Mane

Erland stares at the snow drifting lazily down from the dark sky. He sees himself atop Montana Mane blazing by King Richard, his greedy uncle's champion race horse. He feels his heart fluttering as the fans cheer his name and then the dream ends as quickly as it began. His uncle won't let him race in the adult class. He's only a boy and his horse is nothing but a work horse for the farm. But Erland has a secret only known to himself and his grandpa, Stout. Montana Mane has a special bloodline, not of work horses but of champion race horses. The only problem is that Erland's vendictive uncle, Connor owns Montana Mane as well.
