A City Where Spring Stays

This is a travelog written at the invitation of Xichang city government. Xichang City, the capital of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, the largest Yi Autonomous Prefecture in China, is an undiscovered land with wonders. Xichang City is embraced by mountains, lakes and habited by an ethnic group with splendid histories and cultures. Yet due to its geographical situation, it remains an undeveloped and backward area, where wonders and miracle still prevail. In December 2006, Xichang City is going to hold the Second Winter-traveling Festival in Sichuan, which will in a large measure promote the economical as well as social development here. In this travel-log, you are going to see what you might have never seen or known about this Western city.
