These are a collection of my private verse that I have shared with friends though out the years. They are drawn from life, my life. One is a contemplation of how my teakwood chest would feel if abused and abandoned and it’s joy at being reclaimed. Another is based on a story a friend told me about urban exploration and falling through a floor. One is a tribute to The Silver Bridge collapse of December 15, 1967.
Hopefully, these verses will not only entertain, but will also impart something. In each one, I strove to include a lesson, a moral, that we all can learn from even myself. They highlight, perhaps, some of our weaknesses as humans but, likewise, illustrate how we may rise above them. How we must break cycles in our lives for storm clouds to dissipate.
