WHAT LED ME TO WRITE THIS BOOK I have an itinerant ministry. By God’s grace, I have been privileged to travel to a few places within and outside my country to preach the gospel. Some of those places are rural, sub urban and urban. As an itinerant missionary, I saw a wide gap in terms of discipleship and basic doctrinal teachings. In most rural mission fields where I ministered, the believers sing and dance a lot in most of their meetings with little teaching about the faith they profess. Some know next to nothing about fundamental subjects of the scriptures. Akin to that is the problem of missionaries and pastors that are not grounded in scriptures because they do not have quality training in the word. They responded to God’s call but without adequate equipping. If a man is called into the ministry but does not know the ABC’s of our faith, what kind of disciples will he raise? These observations prompted me to embark on this project. The book is intended to simplify the basic doctrines of our Christian faith without ambiguity. New converts, old Christians, pastors, evangelists, missionaries and ministers can easily read and understand. It can be used for bible study meetings in small and large discipleship groups. It is also of great devotional value. It should be noted that it is not a substitute for the bible but a study aid that will help in understanding basic themes in the scriptures. My desire is to see believers grow in the knowledge of God’s word and live like Christ as they learn from this book. I see millions holding a copy of this book and using it as intended.
