As a little girl growing up in the south during the 1840’s, Lizzy experiences more than any human soul should ever have to. When a stranger comes to sit beside her in the cotton fields of the plantation she lives and works on, she receives a revelation of a hope that many slaves prayed for at that time. But to realize it, Lizzy had to tell her story.
