The quiet little picturesque village of Glenville near by the lake shore was certainly not prepared for a such case. Mr Brierly, head of the teachers of the oldest school has been found dead in the woods. Is it an accident or a suicide ? Definitely a murder since Doctor Barnes found a bullet in his back. The brother of Mr Brierly who just arrived in the town decide to hire Detective Ferrars from Chicago to solve this mystery.
