Wear White Tonight

When guilt-wracked vehicular homicide perpetrator Larry Porter and time-traveling philanderer Nick Madnus attempt to escape Larry's time of 1992 for Nick's of 2020, they overshoot and arrive instead in post-apocalyptic Nevada in 2035. From a five-star hotel/ casino/ brothel east of Vegas to the Bishop of Denver’s WorldChurch Cathedral, Larry conducts a futile search for religious enlightenment and spiritual relief from his relentless burden of guilt. A fallen televangelist, a Muslim fundamentalist and a four thousand year-old alien each provide Larry their take on the apocalypse, its effect on their lives, its religious implications, and the nature of its prophetic fulfillment. From these irreconcilable accounts Larry assimilates a discomforting form of enlightenment, one that carries a curse. He comes to understand that spiritual salvation truly can be achieved by strongly believing certain things, but unfortunately for him, he has learned too much to believe them.
