Under This Roof

Under This Roof takes place in a small town where the Carver's residence is a tour stop for visitors. Duke Carver was a careless and crass teenager when he held his father and sister at gunpoint during his cocaine addiction three years ago. It is now three years later. No communication has occurred. Everyone lives in mirthful existence until Duke returns home from college. Memories of her brother's savage behavior haunts Ella again as Louis does not attempt to connect with a son who tried to kill him. It's only Duke's mother, Dorothy, who tries to understand her son's drastic change in manners as his physical appearance has the entire community in speculation. With the presence of a terminal illness residing in his body, Duke continues to fail with reconnecting to a family strain by horrid past events. This is a story of four lives as victims of an environment tarnished by hate.
