Lena Smith Carter is an internationally traveled concert artist who sings the poetry of the world in seven languages across America and around the world. She is a graduate of Central State University (OH) with a B. S. in Music Education, a graduate of Miami University (OH) with an MM in Performance and Repertory, and has studied for her doctorate at the Paris American Academy, Paris, France and The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA. In addition to her concert career and international travels, she is a teacher, parent, grandparent, editor, publisher, patent holder, philosopher and published poet and author. She has more than thirty-five years experience in the creative arts and education. She is the author of 16 books and her poetry is considered to be bold, original, colorful, and imaginative.
