Jennifer Blackwell is a fourteen-year-old girl who lives on a ranch in Missouri. One day, her father brings home a beautiful black stallion. Though he is an experienced horseman, his life is taken by the horse. Despite the rage expressed by her brothers, Jennifer decides to keep the horse and finish the job her father started. With the help of her friends, Jennifer must prove to the family that everyone, even a horse, deserves a second chance.
