When lucky enough to leave the noise of New York City and escape for the weekend to Western New York, all I do is cook. This book combines some of the best dishes I had in New York City but I focus on the basic ingredients you will find in farmer's markets around New York City. I wanted to re-learn to appreciate simple dishes and the quality of the ingredients. Also, because I often forget the rhythm of our seasons in the Big Apple, I wanted to refocus on the fresh and seasonal ingredients. So let's take the time to stop our hectic NY city life and rethink our food and our life!
