Their Story (A Novel)

Helen was always a good girl. She was the dutiful wife. But as the marriage continued over the years she knew that something was wrong. After 10 years the marriage was over. She took it hard. And when she later found out that he cheated she was speechless. She did not see any clues during the marriage. The years passed and eventually she put herself back onto the market. She made a mistake one day and met someone. Later, at his apartment he got rough with her and violated her. He drove her home and called her every name in the book. He was not aware that his girlfriend was watching him. He got what he deserved that evening as he laid on the sidewalk bleeding. Helen returned to the darkness and only went out when necessary: to get fresh air; food and water; and sometimes to a movie. Eventually, she came out of the darkness and decided to watch this man who has been living in the same building for a number of years. She never said a word to him. But now she is ready to give this nice man a chance. But she fears men because of what happened many years ago. Is she ready to take a chance and give this nice man a chance? Or will her doctor intervene for Helen's sake and well-being? This is about Helen and her story. But she wants people to talk about Their Story.
