The 7-Mountain Mandate is a blueprint to disciple a nation for Christ. The Mandate is presented in a 2-book series with each book consisting of two modules. In Module1 of this book, you will discover WHY it is imperative to occupy the seven mountains of influence. Then, Module 2 unpacks WHAT is included in each of the seven mountains. In the Matthew 28 commission, Jesus commanded us to “go ye into all the world” and make disciples. Included in this commission is the assignment to go into what is referred to as the seven mountains of influence. Instead of going into these mountains in recent years, we have retreated from them and gathered in the church mountain thinking incorrectly that we were to “be separate and come out from among” the marketplace and public square. In general, we have not gone into the seven mountains. The Lord is re-issuing His commission to us to “go ye into” the seven mountains of influence and occupy them as Joshua and the children of Israel did to possess their Promised Land. We have a Promised Land to occupy today in the seven mountains of influence and need to have the attitude of Caleb, who said “give me this mountain” after his tribe was settled in Canaan. Today, the seven mountains are: • media (communication) • family (relationships) • arts & entertainment (beauty and fun) • business (provision) • religion (worship) • education (learning), and • government (governance that provides freedom). You have a ministry call to one of these mountains. All of the mountains are spiritual. Think of each mountain as an unreached people group. Your assignment is to partner with the Lord and with others in your mountain to bring God’s better ways into it.
