Love As An Unstable System

Love is not stable. It never was. It's just that people needed to believe that. They built stories about balance, about "halves" that complete each other, about destinies that align perfectly. They invented the idea of compatibility as a guarantee,as a sure formula. But the reality is different.Love is not a fixed state. It is a system.A living, unpredictable system, influenced by variables that no one completely controls:the past, traumas, education, lacks, desires, fears. Each person enters a relationship with their own "software" already written, sometimes clear, sometimes chaotic, sometimes contradictory. And when two such systems meet...they do not automatically align. They collide. They test. They destabilize. That is real love. Not the initial tranquility, not the instant attraction, not the promises. But the dynamics between two different identities that try, consciously or not,to work together. The problem is not that love is unstable. The problem is that people expect it not to be.It seeks security in a system that,by its nature,is constantly evolving. It seeks control in a process that involves emotions, reactions and continuous changes. And when instability appears, when it appears conflicts, differences, imbalance,I think something is wrong. That love has broken. That it wasn't "the right one".But the truth is simpler and harsher:instability is not a defect of love.It is its structure.A stable system does not change. But love must change.Because people change.Because experiences constantly rewrite the inner software.Because every interaction adds, modifies or deletes something from who we are.To love means,in fact,to accept this continuous imbalance. To stay in a system that does not offer you guarantees. To understand that you cannot control everything, that you cannot foresee everything, that you cannot completely stabilize something that,by its very nature,is alive. And,above all…to understand that love is not about perfection. It is about adaptation.About the ability to remain present even when things are not certain.About the choice not to run away when the system becomes unstable.Because,in the end,it is not stability that defines a real relationship. But how two people learn to function…in the midst of instability.
