A Running Mind

A collection of a semester's worth of work, this anthology takes you through countless different stories and scenarios from memories, to poems, to short stories. First up is the “Penn Invite” memory of the very first cross-country meet of the year. After the memory, you get taken into a short story about an old lover, “Pinning for Rose”. You see a day in the life of Walter and Albert together on the coast of Lake Superior. Next is a collection of poems, the first being a narrative describing a run, and the next are different haikus about various subjects. Another memory of a race is relieved, the “Des Plaines 50k”. Following is a spooky story for a little bit of contrast. Finally, it is wrapped up with a speech that was given at the conclusion of the cross-country season.
