Small Corrections

Small Corrections is a poetry collection about identity, memory, grief, desire, belonging, and the strange ordinary moments that reveal who we are becoming. Moving between childhood memories, queer and trans experience, loss, intimacy, spirituality, and the natural world, Luke Allis explores the ways a life is revised in small but consequential moments: a haircut, a riverbank, a crowded dance floor, a voice from the past, a body finally recognized as its own. At turns raw, vulnerable, irreverent, and hopeful, these poems trace the distance between being seen and being understood and the ongoing work of finding your way back to yourself.
