Lessons I Did Not Expect

From our greatest moments to those that brought us down to our knees, in Lessons I Did Not Expect, the writing community of Morris Academy for Collaborative Studies is offering a brief glimpse into our hearts and minds. As Bronxites, we are passionate and resilient. We come from different parts of the world and the country, and with our writing, came together as a family. As part of this project, we highlighted those experiences that were transformative and memorable. These are the moments that brought us together with others, and those that had us on the outside looking in. Some of us shared experiences that we have reflected on, and others shared more “unfinished” experiences that we are still processing. We invite the world to see our flaws, but more importantly, our strength.
