Cycling is in the blood, three generations of the family have raced and toured across the UK. Travel is in the blood too and German ancestry has long influenced family holiday destinations.
Born in Greenwich, London at the start of the sixties he resided at the southern most tip of Yorkshire for most of his life but is currently living near Bristol.
