Azzun - A Gentle Giant
A Hypoleta Personal Profile
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
I never wanted to go into space. It had never been a dream of mine. I’d actually had few dreams in my life. Quite a few nightmares, but no dreams that I could remember. But Omarg was on the mission and ... therefore, so was I. Back then, I did what I was supposed to do.
I was never one who believed in fate, but a knife wound changed everything and I found myself leaving my home ... alone. Fate? Destiny? Luck? I don’t know. But I was going.
Scared? No more than anyone else on the overcrowded ship we were calling home for the next year. Hopeful? I hadn’t had enough experience with hope to think of it yet. All I was thinking of was a new start. The new life that I found out had been a parting gift from Omarg.
It isn’t always easy being seven-foot five-inches tall in a world of average-sized people. They ... expected so many things from you. So, for this and other reasons I was ... a very quiet person. I thought it would help me blend into the background. But it seems the exact opposite always happened.
Let’s just say that I was waiting. Waiting to see what each day gave us. And each day was an experience, let me tell you. For the first time in my life, I had friends, a job that might go somewhere, and freedom. Freedom to be good, to be bad, to just ... be.
And there on that ship, I met someone. Someone … who just by knowing him pushed the limits of everything that I have ever known or believed about myself or the world around me. Pushed me to be a better ... me.
And for the first time in memory ... I found happiness. I had to fight for it. But I found it.
