How to Avoid Scams and Keep your Data Safe

This book provides some basic guidance to secure your data and avoid being scammed. It is based on my studies in Cyber Security at Plymouth University where I obtained a FirstClass Honours Cyber Security Degree in 2021 and is also based on my experience with computers. I have not attempted to give all the reasons for my recommendations or academic references, it is simply meant to provide a few simple steps to improve your security. I have looked at the psychological nature of hacking, ways to keep your computer safe, how to make a strong password, and other issues like AI and cryptocurrency. The final chapter gives ten simple steps you can implement. Please note this is a short book with only about 3000 words, however, I believe it contains the essential information you need to secure the data of the average user.
