Latin American, born in El Salvador and raised in Venezuela and Guatemala, Barahona arrived to the United States when she was twelve years old. Her fascination for cultures has taken her to various countries, from Uganda—the Pearl of Africa, to the magical Argentina. Besides having been a journalist in both English and Spanish, she has also conducted radio and television in both languages.
