This story depicts a lonely cowboy from Louisiana who is working sixteen hundred miles (1600) away from home and falls in love with a lonely widow. The inner conflict exists when this creole cowboy is torn between his family and this beautiful blonde-haired widow he has so passionately fallen in love with. When his job ends, he faces a dilemma; return to his family in the bayou or stay in New Jersey and marry his love of a lifetime.
