Abbey's Antics

ByMarjorie Yobe

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Abbey is afraid. She has never felt so afraid and so abandoned. She is facing adoption into a new family. Why is this happening to her? She was so happy in her old home. Abbey promises herself she will do whatever it takes to make this new family love her. But she tries too hard, and she makes poor choices that land her in the "dog house". Somebody always seems angry with her. But Abbey always blames anyone but herself for poor choices that result in unhappy consequences. This story sometimes is funny, sometimes is painful, but any child who has faced a new situation - new school, new home, new friends - can laugh at Abbey's attempts and maybe see their own situation in a more positive light. Also, the story teaches Abbey that choices have consequences.
