KayC Goin' Beat You Up!

This is an inner city story about a girl named KayC. Growing up in the early 90s, KayC is trying to find her way in a world where she feels unseen, unheard, unloved, and in the way of her parents living their busy lives. Moving from the county to Eastside Baltimore was not an easy transition for her. Struggling with anger, sadness, and grief, KayC is forced to live with her mean grandmother and adjust to the neighborhood. Through it all, she is determined to have a good first day of school. But when a classmate triggers her to fight, will KayC choose to walk away or beat him up?
