Evan, a promising young physicist obsessed with time, discovers an old diary amongst his grandmother's belongings that takes him on a journey of discovery through war and Hollywood in search of the truth about his grandfather. He is led to wonder what it means to say that a moment in history ever really happened, and to question the value of happiness if it cannot be eternal.
