Can Curly work out what happened and how to find a way home before it is too late? Do the ramblings of a mad old man hold the key or will the combined might of the Scottish and English armies battling over the local river bridge prove too big an obstacle? Armed only with a fleece jacket and a Walkie Talkie, the prospects do not appear good. Children's historical fiction, loosely based around Bonnie Prince Charlie’s advance on London in the mid 18th Century, but set in the sleepy Derbyshire village that saw the furthest point south the real army reached, namely Swarkestone.
