Saved From Darkness

We live in a world filled with both evil and good. Every human being has an innate desire to know God as they understand him to be. Every religious movement in the world is driven by that one ambition. In the Christian community there has been much radicalism by men who were driven to know God but had little understanding as to how. History is filled with stories of men (such as Martin Luther in the sixteenth century) who would inflict punishment and pain on themself hoping to attract God’s favor. Self-infliction of pain and accusation is born of lack of understanding and revelation. In one way or another we all have that quandary until the Holy Spirit opens the eyes of our understanding.
