This book introduces a sort of casual Shintoism, a kind I like to call California Shintoism. With the collapse of monotheism and the myths that attempted to make historical truth claims, some kind of new mythology (mythology ultimately written by you, or people like you) must come to the fore. This document is meant to be a quick and handy guide on how to rather start from scratch when one paradigm collapses and one needs to find or create another to take its place. Of course many people are hoping that Atheism or Activism-and-Advocacy can somehow take the place of the Abrahamic myths and stabilize society; but I do not think this is possible in the long run; and so this tiny booklet seeks to reintroduce religion that is both accessible and free of historical truth claims. This guide does not attempt to introduce much in the way of social norms, although the author believes that social norms must eventually evolve in every system, old or new; however, he believes those new norms (many of which will probably end up overlapping with many old norms) will come about as a byproduct of the process of moving from unsustainable, historically-based myths, to myths that contain all the power, awe and ecstasy (and eventually stability too) that the old myths engendered, without forcing people to live a spiritual life full of historical "facts" which they know can't possibly be true.
