Footsteps in Faith
A Collection In Poems
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Creative short story writer, fiction and nonfiction, Melanie Schatzel, M.Ed. has compiled a collection of faith-based poetry for "Footsteps In Faith: A Collection of Poems". This is a marvelous display of her creativity and personal, insightful, and uplifting writing through poetry--a new genre for her.
It begins with a letter written to a baby, and then follows the baby through to old age from birth to death, figuratively and literally through stages of development and phases of life and seasons of the earth! It is delicately written to explore death, abuse, addiction, self-esteem, self-evaluation all while taking readers on a path of growing faith, tested faith, and enduring faith. The collection demonstrates a growing need to trust the Lord and an endearing pathway of gaining a testimony of His existence while developing trust as reader and follower of Christ.
The collection is notably one of the most enjoyable and simple reads for readers exploring faith, and their beliefs while enduring life's challenges and trials.
This is the same collection presented in the Ebook version of the book--a request from the author's teen sons who stated that teens need access immediately and prefer Ebook to hardcover. But in an attempt to provide a hardcopy version of the collection to readers of a more traditional sense of turning a page, Melanie Schatzel, M.Ed. is now offering the same collection in hardcover.
"This is my sincere attempt to reach my boys by sharing my testimony through including poetry that took a year for me to write. I had to sincerely question aspects of my faith and beliefs from many perspectives noting that when I was a teen I struggled to understand how to feel and hear the Holy Spirit. I wanted to help them, encourage them, inspire them to build their own relationship with the Lord. This is my best attempt at showcasing how to follow in the footsteps of faith that I had to take to build my own testimony. I hope readers can relate and in the end they pray, ask, and listen to hear Him in their own way."
