NEWS WRITING, EDITING AND REPORTING

The book with the title “News Writing, Editing and Reporting” is meant to teach and train journalists and mass media news handlers for optimal performance. The effectiveness of the information disseminated through the media to the public on any subject matter, idea, issue,concepts, etc is dependent on the journalists, reporters and other media information gatekeepers. Journalists and reporters write for the print, electronic and the internet media and their news reportage can build or destroy the society. Therefore, they need to be trained in the art of news writing, editing and reporting. The essence of training is to ensure that news stories are presented in a manner that they create meaning, understanding and value in the mind of the reader, listener or viewer as the case may be. This book provides journalists and reporters with the basic knowledge and skill of news writing, editing and reporting for the mass media. However, this has not provided all relevant themes under this subject.
