What is it like to direct a writing center? Centered begins to answer that question by chronicling a year in the life of the Writing Center Director at Boise State University. The book explains and examines the professional decisions and demands that come with such a position, and also follows the author’s attempts to receive tenure, teach his classes, host a conference, request money from the Provost, and get a decent night’s sleep.
