From the back cover: The histories I’ve uncovered would astound you. I can hardly believe my luck. It did come at a cost. Regardless, the money was a one-off and we’re all the better for it. A crooked old miser was its keeper, clicking away on his old adding machine like a man from a bygone era. But then...what am I doing if not delving further into the past? I sent him the money agreed upon, and he assured me the lost lore would be ready when I arrived. I’m sad to say our old foe got to him before I did. His stately home was in ruins, and the miser was nowhere to be seen. But he left clues...and I couriered the fragile tomes out of there before our enemy could return. The stories within them are so vast I’ve had to break them up into two parts. Please know, that this third set of tales, and the fourth to follow, occur at the same exact time. Just in different parts of the world. To diminish either would be detrimental to our plans. This third collection details the occurrences of a princess in foreign, unforgiving lands. And new attire, wild bets on a dangerous horse race, cruel families, trade deals and royal gatherings, too much cooked goat, and plans to take back a city in peril are just a taste of what’s contained within. As I continue to detail these events, please know you’re in my thoughts. I doubt we’ll meet anytime soon...it’s best I lose myself in the crowd. There’s more to be done.
