The author's life story, over the period 1932-2004,spans some dramatic periods in UK and World history. He grew up in Nottingham and was fortunate to attend West Bridgford Grammar School which gave him a firm foundation for his education. This eventually led to his graduation with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Nottingham University. The majority of his career was spent with Rolls-Royce,initially in nuclear engineering and later in their aero divisions. He was married to Peg for nearly 20 years, living in Bramcote during that time and having three children. After her tragic death at an early age his family was extended by two more young folk when he married Mavis. They moved home to Staunton Harold in NW Leicestershire and after his retirement in 1991, they settled in the village of Llangwm in the attractive county of Monmouthshire in South Wales. As his story unflods it is interlaced with thoughts on a number of controversial subjects.
