At first, we experience Black Africans in the KONGO KINGDOM about 1460 as they worry about Blood Ghosts that live in blood. The upper class people speak in a poetic style that is rhymed, but easy to read. White people from PORTUGAL, with woman hidden aboard, sail here with their Catholic Church-- complete with all its music and ceremony. The Africans love it! They all get along fine.... then America is discovered and with it a huge demand for slaves so the Portuguese mostly become slavers. KING ALFONSO, the KONGO PEOPLE'S GREATEST HERO, tries to stop them but hasn't the military power needed. He has a tragic ending.
