Around The Block With Dunc And Loo (PB)
Midcentury Comics #1031-PB: The Classic Teen Humor Masterpiece! The Complete Eight-Issue Series
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
There's plenty of competition in the teen-humor genre, thought sadly, very little originality. We do have exceptions, however – and DUNC AND LOO are the perfect illustration of this! Friends DUNC AND LOO spend their time around town, but mostly in Sid's corner store (despite that LOO and his potential progeny have all been banned for all time), seeking the attention and affections of Beth while trying to avoid the wrath of her brother Buddy, and making all sorts of mischief with an ever-increasing cast of characters.
Created by illustrator Bill Williams and deftly scripted (and often laid-out) by John Stanley, these two professionals found a groove together, and it shows in the never-put-it-down nature of this short-lived series (#1-8; 1961-1962).
